Fifty Non-Profits in Middle TN Hoping to Become More Resilient

Today fifty nonprofits set sail to undergo a diagnostic assessment thanks to a project funded by the HCA Foundation.  Using the Risk Navigation Tool that Patmos, LLC designed, the nonprofits will be using the next two weeks to complete the assessment.  What will the nonprofit get out of the time spent completing the survey that asks questions about financial management, revenue projections, disaster avoidance, and board decison making practices?  Each nonprofit will receive a PDF report of some 35 plus pages that scores their current level of risk, identifies their most pressing areas to address ("urgency indicators"), and provides solutions based recommendations to reduce their risks -- and take advantage of opportunities -- in these challenging economic times.  The HCA Foundation and the Middle TN community will receive an aggregate report by May 19th of the overall health of our area nonprofits.  Patmos is pleased to be partnering with HCA, the Center for Nonprofit Management, and the organizations themselves.  Over the next couple of weeks, I will be writing on some of the issues nonprofits are facing. Happy navigating to our nonprofits!   For more information on the mygameplan.org Risk Navigation Tool, click here.
